About School

Carmel convent ICSE School was established in the year 2005 by the CMC sisters of Carmelodya province, having its headquarters in Wardha. The small seed has grown today into a mighty tree. The aim was purely to provide holistic and quality education to the students in the locality. The objective of the management is to shape human minds to produce integrated individuals for the society and nation providing value-based education, transforming their attitudes towards life. It was a long-cherished dream of the parents and teachers to get the Carmel Convent School to the prestigious ICSE Board of Education, that the education may meet the challenges of this modern society. The sisters and staff were engaged in this holy task that they may shape thousands of responsible citizens for the Society and the World at large - they dream about the future leaders who will lead the country to the heights of progress.
The congregation which was started with four committed women has now strength of around 6000 sisters, spread all over the world. The founders intended the members “to walk before the Lord and be holy” and they entrusted to them the noble mission of dedicating themselves for the uplift of the fellowmen especially women and children through Bhakti Karma Yoga. At present C.M.C. has spread into five continents – India, Africa, America, Germany, and France. The sisters are rendering their service in different educational institutions such as schools colleges, special schools, vocational training centers, technical colleges, training schools etc. Also they are engaged in the education and rehabilitation of the physically and mentally retarded children, in the hospitals, in the social work fields etc. Sisters are in the process of exploring new ways and means to put into practice the authentic C.M.C. Charisma in this modern world, living the motto “united to the Lord in prayer and dedicated to His people through service”.The sisters working in Carmel Convent School belong to Carmelodaya province, which is one of the 20 provinces and seven regions of this Congregation of Mother of Carmel.
