Heavenly Patron

MOTHER MARY OUR PATRONESS
Mother Mary is the patroness of Carmel School. Mary is the Moher of Jesus. She is our dear mother also. Mary is very powerful before God and she is always ready to help us. Mary is the embodiment of all virtues and she is the fairest of all women. She was born without sin and she lived without the blemish of sin. She is the singular beauty of human nature. Mary is the queen of Carmel. The children of Carmel School are especially dedicated to the care and protection of our Blessed Mother Mary. Every Carmelite, student and teacher, is expected to honor Mary as the Patron of Carmel School. Let us try to imitate Mary and imbibe her virtues like simplicity, faith in God, living service and obedience.
On the occasion of the feast of Our Lady of Mount Carmel, Carmel Day was celebrated to show great patronage to Mother Mary, who has been chosen as the patroness of our school. Special Novena prayer was conducted by the students and telecasted through CMC Carmelodaya Media Cell. Students enhanced their spiritual growth by actively participating in various programs such as song, dance, bible reading, speeches on Mother Mary’s divine intimacy, prayer intentions, inspiring messages on spirituality and so on. As we take steps to protect ourselves and others physically from the spread of COVID -19, we Carmelites also remembered to turn to Mother Mary especially for her protection and healing.
Congregation of Mother of Carmel :
Congregation of the Mother of Carmel (C.M.C) is the first Indigenous Congregation for women. The Indian Christians, who received the word of God in the first century of Christianity, have been longing for a Christian Sanyasa which is a dedicated search after God in complete renunciation and purity of life’. Thus India, the mother land of a rich spiritual heritage, has given birth to many hermits and sages.
PRAYER TO SAINT CHAVARA
God, the sources of all wisdom, I surrender myself to you. Oh God, enlighten my intellect, strengthen my memory, give me more concentration in studies. Bless me to remove all fear, distractions and obstacles in my studies and to study with courage and self – confidence and attain great success. Protect and safeguard me, parents, siblings, companions and my country.
Oh, Saint Chavara, through your prayers and services you were dear to God. You provided the setting for our forefathers to sit together and study without the distinction of caste, creed or colour at a time when education was not very common.
You knew many languages and you are a friend of students. Oh, dear father, intercede for me before God, the heavenly Father, and obtain blessings from Him for all my needs especially for this particular favour….
PRAYER TO SAINT EUPHRASIA
O God, loving Father, we sincerely thank your great benevolence, for the very gift of St. Euphrasia who attained sanctity through constant prayer and an ascetic life. St. Euphrasia, dearly beloved daughter of Mother Mary, we entrust to you, each one of us, Mother Church and the whole world.
Help us to offer our sufferings at the foot of the Cross, and to progress in life’s journey trusting in divine providence. Teach us to seek the Kingdom of God and His justice, guide us to grow in love of God and love of others through prayer and a life of mortification.
In all the critical situations of life, especially in this particular need…. St. Euphrasia, we plead your intercession. Amen.
3 Glory be……
